The Story of a Stylish Mom

See this content in the original post

It's 7 am, plenty of dishes to wash, breakfast to prepare, dogs to feed, laundry to start, which leaves 15 minutes to get yourself ready.  What can you possibly do with 15 minutes?  Well, that's when us moms get creative and not many of us can take the time.  Mother's Day, had me thinking a lot about motherhood and why we celebrate once a year.  This story is devoted to the moms that are into style and make their own story every day.  Hope you had a great Mother's Day!

First, the Story of Mother's Day

Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1908, Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother at St Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia. Today, the church holds an International Mother's Day Shrine.  Her mother was a peace activist who aided wounded soldiers during the American Civil War and she founded Mother’s Day Work Clubs to aid in public health issues.

Mom's always seem to have the answers and know how to handle chaos with grace and style.

I am going to share some of my style favorites that create stories every day.  From tumbling class, soccer, playdates, and much more I have a few items I like to wear to quickly get ready.  Big glasses, tote bag, adorable boots, and leggings are filled with fashion and quick to get ready.

Big glasses…

Tom Ford sunglasses

Big designer glasses hide sleepless nights, no make-up and, wrinkles.  Throw on a pony tail and you'll look and feel like an instant celebrity.

My favorite style of Tom Fords

 Big Tote Bag...

My favorite, Rebecca Minkoff

The next best thing to a diaper bag, if you like driving minivans.  Make it large and full of style, it's easier throw together and keep everything in place.  You can use any large tote and compartmentalize with additional pouches.

Various colors options

Great Boots...

In love with Palladium boots

Boots are so easy because they will make any bottoms look stylish.  Find something easy to walk in, looks great on the playground, and full of edge.  Check out Palladium brand shoes, they are comfortable, weather resistant, and extremely comfortable.

Leggings that really are pants...

There is so much talk around leggings and their bad sides, they are simple if you wear them correct way.  Thick lined leggings, long tee, and paired with an adorable jacket.  You are bound to be the coolest mom at the bus stop!

Matty M leggings, my favorite go to!

Adorable, comfortable, and stylish for one low price!

Vince leggings

One of my biggest fears after giving birth, was loosing myself.  Edgy, the queen of the latest trend, and unlike anything else were my rules to live by.  I'd say, "does this look like a mom?"  If so, let's pick something else.  I will never figure out why I thought that way or what I was so afraid of. My daughter was born and my soul felt so complete and I wanted nothing but to be her mom.  She is my everything and I make every effort to set a great example.  That means to be strong, smart, protect, and be the best I can be for her.  Being a mom has its moments and we risk falling out of touch with ourselves.  On our hardest days, dressing for our part keeps us at our best.  Let's vow to never take the style out of our stories because us moms should never lose our style.
